St Luke's Church, Ipswich (Cliff Lane -opposite School- IP3 OPJ) [go to the downloads page to see the map of the parish] ![]() ![]() St Luke's Church has a particular role in serving the Rivers Estate and provides a wonderfully relaxed and friendly environment within which to get to know one another and to serve the local community. It is a Church that is very much open to God's Spirit, and longing to grow and develop with a gentleness and relevance to everyday life. . A range of services and activities are offered within a manageable sized congregation where you can get to know people and be known and easily join in. We aim to be a congregation that practice a faith that is relevant today, based on the Bible, and filled with the Holy Spirit. During the week we run a parent and toddler group Grapevine and a number of our members are involved with the youth group (Grounded) as well as being opportunities to join in with midweek Housegroups. Coffee Pot is open to the whole community every Thursday between 9am-12 Noon ......... everyone receives a special welcome....and good coffee! - details Every Monday a weekly Prayer Meeting takes place in the Church @ 7.30pm to pray for the area, and on the first Monday of the month, time is spent praying for Grounded and the other youth and children's work in the Benefice. On the first Sunday of the month a Prayer Breakfast is held at 9.15am. St Luke's Ladies Group meets in the Hall as does the Luncheon Club - details The Church also has a monthly Photographic Club.- details Many community organisations hire either the Church Hall (details). including Brownies/Guides. Please contact our Administrator if you would like to use it. Children and Youth Groups run by the church are staffed by volunteers who are CRB Checked and we have a Safeguarding Policy in force.
